Last semester, as a member of the student board, we introduced the ‚late shift‘ to our department. This is an event where all the design students at our university can come together in the Shed hall to work on their current projects and be creative in other ways.
It is important to me that students stay at the university after their courses and projects and work together on their projects, rather than sitting at home alone in front of their laptops. To create a relaxed working atmosphere, we set up group tables and table lamps, play relaxing lo-fi music and open the department bar for cool drinks.
The aim was to create a series of posters that could be continued indefinitely. Each late shift is given an accent colour. The old ‚crew‘ of the late shift is replaced on each poster. Visually, the posters were to be reminiscent of poorly scanned notices thrown together in the last few minutes of the working day.
