Imagine that our universe is like a book, and this book has its own story. The multiverse is like a giant library with an infinite number of books. Some books are more similar, some are less similar, and some are completely different. If you just move a single atom to another place in our universe, a whole new book is created…
I think to imagine this infinity is beyond human imagination. But that’s exactly what I want to show visually in my movie. With short sequences I want to show how different small details could be in each of these universes… But it’s not just about the small details, whole scenarios can be fundamentally different. To show these big differences without overloading the viewer, I left the basic structures the same and only changed textures and smaller details.
The project was produced in 2023 with the interpolation mode in Deforum because the morphing between scenes best describes the concept of the multiverse. An infinite number of intermediate steps and versions, even if only one pixel changes.
To capture the effect of the multiverse in the typography, I decided to randomly change the font of each letter. I programmed a code to randomly switch between 60 different fonts for each letter. The glow and chromatic aboration was added to create the effect of surrealism and glitching between the different universes.
