Last semester, as part of the student board, I helped introduce the Late Shift — a recurring event for design students at our university to gather in the Shed hall, cowork on their current projects, and be creative together after the university courses.
The idea came from a belief I hold strongly: students thrive when they work alongside each other, rather than alone at home in front of a screen. To make that happen, we created a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere — arranging group tables with warm lamp lighting, playing lo-fi music in the background, and opening up the department bar for drinks throughout the evening.
The aim was to create a series of posters and posts that could be continued indefinitely. Each late shift is given an accent colour.
The senior crew of the late shift is replaced on each poster. Visually, the posters seem to be poorly scanned notices thrown together in the last few minutes of the working day.
